What Is Happening In The Ministry Of Justice?
| Infosheet
The latest Ministry of Justice statistics reveal a steady increase in landlord possession claims, orders, and warrants across England and Wales. Possession claims have risen by 3%, with repossessions up by 5% compared to the same period last year. London remains the most affected region, accounting for 35% of all landlord claims. At the same time, the average possession timeline has now stretched to 25 weeks, creating additional financial pressure for landlords.
With the Renters’ Rights Bill on the horizon, many landlords may be acting now before Section 21 evictions are removed. As legal processes slow and costs rise, Rent & Legal Protection policies are becoming an essential safeguard against delays, legal fees, and rental arrears.
