Make a claim

Although all insurance policies, including ours, are quite rightly very formal and businesslike, we would like to assure you that we treat all claims in a friendly and supportive manner; dealing with you and your emergency in exactly the same way we'd like to be treated ourselves. Whatever the problem, big or small, we are here to help.

For Landlords Rent and Legal Protection Insurance claims, please telephone the legal helpline 0344 770 1079 and a claim form will be sent out to you within 24 hours. You can also access the claim form on line. Please see below for further details.

How to make an online claim for Landlords Rent and Legal Protection

  • If you haven’t previously accessed the site, you will need to create a new account by visiting
  • Once you are logged in, go to and clicking ‘Submit Claim Form & Upload Documents Online’
  • The claim form is required to be completed and returned promptly along with supporting documentation unless otherwise agreed with us or the appointed lawyer

For Landlords Buildings and Contents Insurance claims, immediate action may be needed. If safe to do so, please protect your property from further damage by switching off the gas, electricity or water. Our helpline 0300 303 2001 is open 24 hours a day. If you do need to call our Claims Helpline, please have your policy number handy.

Repossession claims will be assessed and if accepted and deemed appropriate, an enquiry agent will visit the tenant and any guarantor. If the agent is unable to reach an agreement with the tenant/guarantor to remedy the situation, we will appoint a solicitor to act for you. It is important that you do not seek legal advice prior to getting in touch with us. We will not pay for the costs involved, even if we accept the claim.
