February 14th marks the 10th Birthday of The Lettings Hub, with celebrations well underway at the Peterborough headquarters. With it also being Valentine’s Day, we thought we’d ask our team which things they love about working here!
Here’s a list of the top 10 things our employees love about working at The Lettings Hub…
It’s a supportive team.
Staff at The Lettings Hub say that they feel like their team members really take care of one another. Everyone feels that there is a friendly atmosphere and a definite bond that is often difficult to create in mid-size companies, but it has been successfully achieved here!
“The Lettings Hub doesn’t have that cold corporate feel where everyone is just a number. I feel valued and heard as a staff member here, and well supported!”
The Snack Station
Everybody who works in an office knows, that a long morning or a brain-bending afternoon of meetings can only be made better by one thing. A snack. At The Lettings Hub, everyone gets to benefit from a free snack station.
“It’s a bit of a morale-booster on a long afternoon to just nip to the snack station and get a quick energy kick – courtesy of The Lettings Hub!”
A Warm Welcome
Some of our new staff have expressed an instant feeling ofembrace by their new teams.
“I haven’t been working here for long but felt welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. Everyone is so helpful, and I felt part of the team instantly. The quarterly awards and other events we do to bring the team together are very motivating and rewarding!”
Such as our Quarterly Awards. The staff at The Lettings Hub feel that they are a great opportunity to get the whole team together and celebrate each other’s achievements within the company.
“A team that feels recognised is a team that wants to continue to do their best, and it’s an effective way to relay company messages to everyone, while having fun at the same time!”
Did You Know? In The Lettings Hub office, we refer to ourselves as ‘Hubsters’.
A Company That Gives Back
Giving back is something we care greatly about at The Lettings Hub. In the past, we have run team volunteering days at Wood Green Animal Shelter, and more recently we raised money for Ukraine with a 36 hour Referencing Relay event.
For 36 hours straight, we passed the baton between four teams who did non-stop referencing. The event raised hundreds of pounds for those in need from Ukraine. It felt great to be able to do that at work.”
A Wealth of Knowledge
Collectively, across the team The Lettings Hub has a profound wealth of expertise within its staff. Employees from all over the country who have been professionals in various sectors in the housing industry, as well as people with fantastic technology backgrounds, marketing wisdom and more, all bring their experience to the table.
“All of the team leaders here have so much knowledge and there’s always someone who can answer any questions I ever have!”
An Inspirational Leadership Team
Leadership is such an important function in the workings of a business, and it’s brilliant to hear that staff at The Lettings Hub are motivated by their CEO.
“Heidi is a really inspiring CEO and always keeps us all informed about what’s going on in the business!”
The day where staff get set special targets and compete with each other to achieve different business goals. You can read all about how we smashed targets on our most recent Boom Day here in this blog post.
“Some of my favourite memories at The Lettings Hub are from Boom Days. There is always such a good spirit of friendly competition in the office, and lots of laughs.”
Those who have been with The Lettings Hub for several years have benefited from fantastic opportunities to grow, learn, and progress within the business.
“When I started at The Lettings Hub 8 years ago, I was working on the Referencing team. Now I’m a Senior Business Analyst, and it has been an amazing journey growing from one role to the other, I feel like I know this business inside and out!”
A Culture of Innovation
The Lettings Hub has been at the forefront of several hot topics in the housing industry. When legislation changes come about, such as the introduction of Pets in Lets under Rental Reform, The Lettings Hub were the first business to start looking for solutions to pave the middle-ground between Landlords and Pet Charities.
“Where our industry has gaps, we look to produce solutions. There’s a real culture of innovation here at The Lettings Hub, and we want to lead the industry in places where there are new challenges to address.”
“The people have been very welcoming since I’ve joined, the atmosphere is really good and the balance between fun and hard work is spot on!”
“I love the colleagues I have met along the way! Friends for life and great experiences 😊”
