It’s Boom Day at The Lettings Hub! Once a month, staff are challenged to hit specially set Boom Day targets. All our teams compete so that they can win a reward for their department!
The day is all about challenging all our teams to be at the top of their game.
Referencing, Insurance, Finance, Marketing, Tech – every department gets involved! And each has a special list of goals allocated to them for that working day. Challenged with reaching SLA’s, answering record amounts of calls and lots of other great things, staff take Boom Day so seriously that they’ve even been known to volunteer to stay past the end of their shift in the office!

We make the office into a motivated space by really celebrating the day, decorating with balloons and offering sweet treats to put everybody in the spirit. Even better, if it falls on a month with a theme, like Valentines or Halloween – you can be sure the office will be decorated accordingly! And of course, all the team leaders wear their Boom Day T-shirts.

Some of the types of goals set on our previous Boom days include;
- Hitting targets for booking new meetings and pitches
- Boosting website enquiries
- Achieving ‘X’ amount of online sales
- Checking-in with our clients
- Creating engaging webinars with a high volume of attendees
On Boom Day we always make sure we are setting ambitious goals, so we always have something to work towards but also feel like we have accomplished something at the same time. It’s Great!

The Boom Day Reward…
As we often see most of our teams reach their goals on Boom Days, sometimes it’s a tough choice deciding who to crown as the winners! But we also see teams go above and beyond their targets, too. The winning team gets announced to the company and they receive a voucher of choice. More importantly, they gain much coveted control over the office radio – no more Hard Rock vs. Pop Princess arguments between teams, the Boom Day winners have final say!
Those teams who may not take the prize this month always know that next month provides another chance to win. They’ll be brainstorming ways to take the crown next Boom Day as soon as this one is over.
As a business, we’re very proud of the things our teams manage to achieve on Boom Days. And we’re proud of the strong work ethic that everybody brings to the table. Truthfully, we’re all winners after a Boom Day! When we start to see the results of all the days hard work come to fruition in the weeks after, we know we’ve done something right.
