The Renters’ Rights Bill has completed Committee Stage in the House of Lords and is set for Report Stage in June. Major changes are coming – including the end of Section 21, a move to periodic tenancies, stricter rules on rent in advance, student lets, pets, and a new landlord database.

National Trading Standards has withdrawn the Material Information guidance, but letting agents are still required to disclose all material information under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCC Act).
